Salt and the Spotlight

The name “Salt and the Spotlight” comes from the verse Matthew 5:13-16. God tells us that we are supposed to be the salt and light of the world. I believe He has given performers the unique position of being in the spotlight, so we can reflect His light. I started this blog because theatre is a big mission field, and unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of faith-based representation out there. I want other Christian performers to know you don’t have to sacrifice who you are for what you love. God has placed unique gifts in all of us to carry out his wonderful plans, and that includes the gift of performing. Whether it’s singing, dancing, acting, painting, or writing it can be used to bring glory to God, and others to him. I pray through this blog you can navigate your beautiful craft without losing sight of God, and hopefully feeling a little less alone.
